Marquious Alexis Beck
    Funeral services for Marquious Alexis Beck, 14, of Grenada, formerly of Winona, are at 1 p.m. Friday at Grenada High School Auditorium. Burial will follow in Haven Rest Cemetery.
    Alexis died July 21, 2010, the result of an accidental drowning.
    She was born Feb. 18, 1996, and was the daughter of Derek Beck and Jacqulin Lane of Grenada.
    She was an incoming freshman at Grenada High School and a member of New Birth M.B. Church. She had been a cheerleader at Grenada Middle School, a member of the choir and the abstinence program.
    Preceding Ms. Beck in death is her grandmother, Doris Bibbs of Winona.
    In addition to her parents, surviving Ms. Beck are sisters, Samantha Lane and Aaliyah Beck of Grenada; grandmother, Diane Beck Topps of Grenada.
    Clark-Williams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ruby Lillian Shook Lane
    Funeral services for Ruby Lillian Shook Lane, 96, of Grenada, were at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 24, 2010, at Garner-Harper Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Smith Cemetery in Rosebloom.
    Mrs. Lane died July 22, 2010, at the Grenada Living Center.
    She was born on Oct. 25, 1913, and was the daughter of the late Noah and Emma Goodson Shook.
    Mrs. Lane was a charter member of Rosebloom Church of the Nazarene where she taught Sunday school for 63 years. She was a retired factory supervisor for McGregor in Charleston, Miss. She was a loving Grandmother known as Mama Lane to people far and near.
    In addition to her parents, preceding Mrs. Lane in death are  her husband, Brewer Lane; two sons, George Lane and Jim Lane; two brothers and three sisters.
    Surviving Mrs. Lane are six grandchildren, Tony Pullen of Houlka, Micki Jones of Batesville, Regina Pitts of Cleveland, Tracy Moore of Panama City, Fla., Christy Walters of Grenada, James Lane of Hernando; 13 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
    Garner-Harper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Wonda June Loden
    Graveside services for Wonda June Loden, 82, of Brandon, Miss., formerly of Grenada, are at 11 a.m. Friday at Sparta Cemetery.
    Visitation is Friday from 10 to 10:30 a.m. at National Funeral Home.
    Mrs. Loden died July 29, 2010, at the Brandon Nursing and Rehab Center in Brandon.  
    She was born April 15, 1928, in Kaufman, Texas, to the late Admiral Dewey Dickson and Myrtle Virginia Cates Dickson.
    Mrs. Loden was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church.  She was employed in the stock room at Pennaco Hosiery Mill.  
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Loden.
    Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Strain of Jackson, and Virginia Lee of Holcomb; one son, Jerry Loden of Vicksburg; two sisters, Armeta Faye Woods of Eupora, and Martha Lee Russell of Maben; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
    National Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

John Harvey Moore
   Graveside services for John Harvey Moore, 65, of Grenada, are at 10 a.m. Saturday at Grenada Memorial Gardens.
    Mr. Moore died July 26, 2010, of natural causes.
    He was born Aug. 29, 1944.
    Survivors include a sister, Sharon Cadegan of Pembroke Pines, Fla.
    Eddie Robinson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Helen Miller Renfroe
    Helen Miller Renfroe, 82, died on Wednesday, July 28, at her residence. Born on July 27, 1928, in Humphreys County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Cleveland and Lenora Woods Miller.
    She married Melvin Ray Renfroe on June 12, 1949. Mrs. Renfroe worked as a medical stenographer and as a pastor’s secretary at First Baptist Church, Grenada, for many years.  A member of First Baptist Church, Amory, she sang in the Sanctuary Choir and taught Sunday school. Mrs. Renfroe enjoyed exercising at the Sr. Adult Community Center, reading, crafts, gardening and giving away the preserves she had made.
    She is survived by her husband, Melvin Renfroe of Amory; daughters, Becky Burke of Amory, and Jan Raper of Madison, Ala.; grandchildren, Michael Raper of Madison, Ala., and Julie Brewer of Toney, Ala.; and a great-grandchild, Aaron Brewer of Toney.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mozelle Carpenter and Dorothy Marcum; and three brothers, Clyde, Clarence and Clinton Miller.
    A funeral service for Helen M. Renfroe will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, Amory, with Bro. Jimmy McFatter officiating. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Jerry Reese, Bobby Jo Stevens, Gene Haney, David Henry, Steve Greenhaw, Frank Finney and Bill Carrothers.  Honorary pallbearers will be Lester Cagle, Curtis Lewellen, Tommy Tapp and Howard Boozer.
Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the service hour at the church.
    Memorials may be given to First Baptist Church, Amory, MS 38821-0540 or to First Friends Respite, Amory.
