HAROLD DEAN WHITEHEAD
1937-2012
TREZEVANT: Harold Dean Whitehead, 74, died, Saturday, January 21, 2012 at his home. Funeral services were Tuesday, January 24, at 2 p.m. at Republican Grove Baptist Church with burial in Trezevant Cemetery.
Mr. Whitehead, an implement mechanic and retired maintenance at Douglas and Lomanson, was born December, 1937 to the late Wallace and Jewell Whitehead. He was an Air Force veteran and a member of Republican Grove Baptist Church. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Whitehead.
Survivors include: his wife, Maxine H. Whitehead; one daughter, Phyllis (David) Broach of Milan; one sister, Carolyn Cox of Marion Arkansas; and two granddaughters, Brittany (Logan) Harris and Amanda Broach.
Brummitt Funeral Home of Trezevant was in charge of arrangements.

JERRY EARL ARNETT
1951-2012
TREZEVANT: Jerry Earl Arnett, Sr., 60, died Friday, January 20, 2012 at his home. Funeral services were Tuesday, January 24, at 10 a.m. at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church in Trezevant with burial in Double Springs Cemetery near Gibson.
Mr. Arnett, a Vietnam Army veteran and also a retired auto/diesel mechanic, was born November, 1951 to the late Joseph and Edna Merle Arnett. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Linda Gail Arnett.
Survivors include: one son, Jerry (Diane) Arnett, Jr. of Bradford; two brothers, Terry (Donna) Arnett and Wayne (Pam) Arnett both of Georgia; five grandchildren, Mario Cruz, Britney Chandler, Ashley Chandler, Brianna Arnett and Daniel Arnett; one great-granddaughter, Bionca Crews; three nieces, Angie Banks, Betty Childers and Stacy Arnett and three nephews, Terry L. Arnett, Jr., Randy Sullivan, and Joey Arnett.

RICHARD DARRELL MCALEXANDER
1940-2012
CEDAR GROVE: Richard Darrell McAlexander, 71, died Saturday, January 21, 2012 at his home. Funeral services were Monday, January 23, at 1 p.m. at Chase Funeral with Bro. Robert Barger officiating.  Burial followed in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. 
Mr. McAlexander was born July 3, 1940 to the late Thurman Andrew McAlexander and Hattie Ola (Robinson) McAlexander.  He was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, welder and maintenance for Yeargin Company, and a member of the National Guard.
Survivors include: his wife of 51 years, Dee Ann McAlexander; three sons, Roger (Laura) McAlexander and Ricky (Cheryl) McAlexander, both of Huntingdon, and Randy (Kim) McAlexander of Atwood; one sister, Virginia Rhea of Lavinia; one brother, Charlie (Rhonda) McAlexander of Lavinia; and four grandchildren.

WILLIAM “BILLIE” BODKIN FORD
1923-2012
MCKENZIE: William “Billie” Bodkin Ford, 88, died Monday, January 16, 2012 at his home. Funeral services were Wednesday, January 18, at 1 p.m. at McKenzie Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Trull officiating. Burial followed in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery near the Christmasville community.
Mr. Ford was born May 17, 1923 in McKenzie to the late William Bryan and Fannie Bodkin Ford. He was a farmer, WW II U.S. Army medical technician veteran, and a member of McKenzie First Baptist Church.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Bobo; and a great-granddaughter, Stacey Bobo.
Survivors include: his wife of nearly 68 years on February 5, Rachel Lee Ford of McKenzie; one daughter, Martha Bobo of McKenzie; three grandsons, Stephen Bobo of McKenzie, Ryan (Tobey) Bobo of Idaho, Alan (Lori) Bobo of Washington State; and five great-grandchildren, Emma Bobo, Alanis Bobo, Blake Bobo, Alvry Bobo, and Kevin Ramsey.

HERBERT WINDHAM “H. W.” JACKSON
1929-2012
MCKENZIE: Herbert Windham “H.W.” Jackson, 82, died Friday, January 20, 2012 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services were Tuesday, January 24, at 1 p.m. at McKenzie Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Trull officiating. Burial followed in Carroll Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Jackson was born September 5, 1929 in New Albany, Mississippi to the late Choral Knox and Mary Alma Maddox Jackson. He was a retired truck driver and operator and Baptist in faith.
Survivors include: his wife, Peggy Dye Jackson of McKenzie; four sons, Herbert (Maryjane) Jackson, Jr. of Palm Desert, California, Jerry Jackson of McKenzie, Mark (Serena) Jackson of Columbia Falls, Montana,
Tracy (Kathy) Jackson of Upland, California; one sister, Ruth Brooks of Jackson; one brother, Damon Jackson of Booneville, Mississippi; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

BETTY SUE WEBB
1934-2012
BRUCETON: Betty Sue Webb, 77, died Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at her home. Funeral services were Saturday, January 21, at 11 a.m. at Bruceton Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Whitworth officiating. Burial followed in Camden City Cemetery.
Mrs. Webb was born August 24, 1934 in Huntingdon to the late Edwin Floyd Owens and Myrtle Anna DeMoss Owens. She was a seamstress for HIS, member of Bruceton First United Methodist Church and Bruceton Order of Eastern Star Adah Chapter #314.
Survivors include: her husband of 57 years, Robert Hurt Webb of Bruceton; one daughter, Janie (Keith) Smothers of Bruceton; one son, Eddie (Jan) Webb of Cumberland Furnace, Tennessee; two sisters, Lorene Davis and Elizabeth Webb, both of Huntingdon; one brother, John W. (Sharon) Owens of Centralia, Washington; two grandchildren, one step-granddaughter, one great-granddaughter, and one step-great-grandchild.

MITCHELL LESLIE WRIGHT
1950-2012
MCKENZIE: Mitchell Leslie Wright, 61, died Monday, January 16, at Huntingdon Health & Rehab. No services were held with cremation.
Mr. Wright was born May 23, 1950 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Robert Eugene Wright and Frances Reynolds Wright. He was a restaurant employee.
Survivor include: one sister, Sandra Sites of Salem, Missouri.

TED FRANKLIN HEATLEY
1950-2012
BRUCETON: Ted Franklin Heatley, 61, died Monday, January 16, 2012 at McKenzie Regional Hospital. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Vance, South Carolina. The body was cremated.
Mr. Heatley was born July 27, 1950 in Orangeburg, South Carolina. He was a truck driver and truck stop owner and member of Gerizim First United Methodist Church in Vance, South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Franklin Heatley.
Survivors include: his wife, Ruby Nell Franklin Heatley of Bruceton; his mother, Lois Katherine Martin Heatley of Vance, South Carolina; two daughters, Katherine Watkins of Eutawville, South Carolina and Beth (John) Mauldin of Vance, South Carolina; two sons, Troy Franklin (Jennifer) Heatley of Bruceton and Michael (Mary) Heatley of Holly Hill, South Carolina; one brother, Randal Heatley of Elloree, South Carolina; and nine grandchildren.

CHARLOTTE MCGINNIS
1943-2012
MCKENZIE: Charlotte A. McGinnis, 68, died Saturday, January 21, 2012 at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas. Funeral services are Thursday, January 26, at 1 a.m. at the Cedar Avenue Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home with burial in New Haven Cemetery, Ridgely, Tennessee.
Visitation is Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. until service time.
Mrs. McGinnis was born June, 1943 to the late Ralph and Virginia Mayberry. She was a retired hair dresser, member of Tumbling Creek Baptist Church of Gleason and the Girls Night Out Club.
Survivors include: her husband, Farris R. McGinnis of McKenzie; one son, Brent Griffin of Gleason; one sister, Donna (Don) Moore of Ridgely; two grandchildren, Brittany Griffin and Chase Griffin; and one niece, Natalie (Wil) Keiser.

ARLENE EVANS WOODARD 
MCKENZIE: Graple Arlene Evans Woodard, 86, died January 21, 2012 at the Ripley Rehab and Healthcare Center in Ripley, Tennessee. Funeral services were Tuesday, January 24, at 2 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Bro. Jeremy Byrd officiating. Burial followed in Mars Hill Cemetery in McNairy County.
Mrs. Woodard was born in Leapwood, Tennessee and grew up in McNairy County, the daughter of the late Donnie Guy and Zera Irene Dallas Evans. She attended schools in McNairy County. She married James Woodard in 1960. They made their home in McKenzie where she worked for Basler Electric Company in Huntingdon where she retired. Mr. Woodard died in 1999. She continued to make her home in McKenzie until about two years ago when she moved to Ripley to be near her daughter, Donna. She was a member of Enon Missionary Baptist Church in McKenzie.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; a sister, Opal Canaday; and a brother, Elwood Evans.
Survivors include: two daughters, Donna Reaves of Halls, Tennessee and Pamela Diaz of Gainesville, Florida: four grandchildren; a brother, Cecil Ray Evans of Jackson; and two sisters, Faye Martin of Enville and Betty Davis of Lakeland.

HALLS: Michael Shane Hooper, 40, died Monday, January 9, 2012 at his home. Funeral services were Thursday, January 12, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Trezevant with burial in Trezevant Cemetery.
Mr. Hooper was born October 25, 1971. He was a factory worker and member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Unionville. He was preceded in death by one sister, Amy Fleming.
Survivors include: his parents, Vicky H. Hooper of Halls and Gordon (Jeanne) Hooper of Trezevant; two sisters, Brandi McDaniel and Holli Hooper, both of Trezevant; two nieces and one nephew.

1974-2012
MURRAY, KENTUCKY: Ginger Brock Grunst, 37, died Monday, January 9, 2012 at Murray-Calloway County Hospital. Funeral services were Thursday, January 12, at 1 p.m. at Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Russell Dunn officiating. Burial followed in Hebron United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Grunst was born January 25, 1974. She was the owner of Second Hand Treasured in Murray and attended Hebron United Methodist Church in Bruceton.
Survivors include: her husband, Jeff Grunst of Murray; son, Jordan Brock of Murray; parents, Billy and Barbara Brock of Bruceton; a brother, Steven (Fran) Brock of Rothbury, Michigan; two sisters, Vicki (Chris) Avalon of Huntingdon and Melanie (Talbert) Richardson of McKenzie; and several nieces and nephews.

DOLLYE FREIDA LIFSEY
1928-2012
MCLEMORESVILLE: Dollye Freida Lifsey, 83, died Monday, January 9, 2012 at Henry County Medical Center in Paris. Funeral services were Wednesday, January 11, at 11 a.m. at Chase Funeral Home with Bro. George Edwin Miller officiating. Burial followed in Obion Chapel Cemetery
Mrs. Lifsey was born March 5, 1928 in Jackson to the late George and Molly Swafford Miller. She was a retired seamstress for H.I. S. Company and a member of the Obion Chapel Church of Christ. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Joseph Eugene “Rusty” Lifsey; one grandson, Kevin Rogers; three sisters and one brother.
Survivors include: eight daughters, Patsy Frazee of Conyers, Georgia, Sue (Bobby) Butler of Huntingdon, Diane (Jr.) Rogers, Lisa (Lewis) Jones, Kim Simpson, all of Cedar Grove, Vicky (Mike) Vaden of Bells, June (Chuck) Gray and Betty Lou Cooper, both of Trezvant; two sons, Jimmy (Teri) Lifsey of Woodlawn and Steve (Denise) Lifsey of Cedar Grove; 18 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

RONNIE M. SANDERS
1952-2012
HENRY: Ronnie M. Sanders, 59, died Saturday, January 14, 2012 at his home. Funeral services are Wednesday, January 18, at 1 p.m. at McEvoy Funeral Home with Dwight Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Sanders was born May 9, 1952 in Henry County to the late Woodrow B. Sanders and Callie B. Francisco Sanders. He was in the first graduating class at Henry County High School. He had been in the timber business, had built many houses in the Henry County area and bought and sold real estate.
Survivors include: two sisters, Nadine (William) Hatley of Beechmont, Kentucky and Josephine Funderberk of Dennis, Mississippi; two brothers, Weldon “Cotton” (Betty) Sanders and Melvin (Selona) Sanders, both of Springville; numerous nieces and nephews.

MAE GOODRUM
1929-2012
HUNTINGDON: Amelia Mae Goodrum, 82, died Sunday, January 15, 2012 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Funeral services are Wednesday, January 18, at 11 a.m. at Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Sellers officiating. Burial will follow in Christian Chapel Cemetery. 
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time of service.

Mrs. Goodrum was born February 1, 1929 in Carroll County to the late Jamie Caraway and Maureen (Reed) Caraway. She was the owner of Goodrum Grocery, Postmaster of the Leach Post Office and a member of Christian Chapel Church of Christ. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Goodrum; and a son, James Roscoe Goodrum.

Survivors include: two daughters; Donna (Bob) Williams of Huntingdon and Patricia Hill of Saint Augustine, Florida; three sisters, Dorothy Burress of Trezevant, Betty Knott of Bradford and Marjorie Tate of Lansing, Michigan; three grandchildren and one great-grandson.
