5th Graders Celebrate with Honored Teacher
We were greeted by excited and hungry 5th graders, ready for a party, as we visited the classroom of Mrs. Kelly Jewell, a 5th grade teacher at Branson Intermediate. Mrs. Jewell was named our October Ozark Mountain Bank Teacher of the Month. Her student, Lindsay, wrote a great letter about Mrs. Jewell describing how “she makes learning fun for everyone” and “she greets the students with a smile on her face and never gives up on anyone!”
At a classroom party in her honor, Mrs. Jewell and her class enjoyed a pizza party from Luigi’s Pizza Kitchen and colorful chocolate donuts from Dunkin Donuts along with gifts from the program’s sponsors: Ozark Mountain Bank, Branson Titanic Museum and Attraction, Dunkin Donuts, Discovery Center of Springfield, and Famous Dave’s BBQ. Mrs. Jewell was also presented a Joy of Learning plaque from NatureGraphics. On hand to celebrate with Mrs. Jewell were: Mike Booth from Ozark Mountain Bank: Kristina Hagey and First Class Maid Jamie from the Branson Titanic; Brent Bartman and Wilbur the Pig from Famous Dave’s BBQ, Brenda Romine, Communications Director for Branson Schools and representing Hometown Radio, Joan Deberry and Janet Ellis.
