Hollister Educator First “Teacher of the Month” for 2009-10 School Year! When you enter the 4th grade classroom of Laurel Calvert, you know it’s going to be a special experience! There are pictures and projects and great examples of students’ work and the desks are filled with eager learners! We spent the lunch hour with Mrs. Calvert and her 4th graders at Hollister Elementary, to honor her as this month’s Ozark Mountain Bank Teacher of the Month! Her students Alexis and Hayley wrote in to tell us that she is “super duper”, nice and even if they get stuck on something, she is always there by their side to help them through it. As a result of being chosen as this month’s Ozark Mountain Bank Teacher of the Month, Mrs. Calvert and her class were served pizza from Luigi’s Pizza Kitchen and delicious Dunkin Donuts with sprinkles for dessert! She was also presented the beautiful commemorative plaque from The Sign Man and gifts from Ozark Mountain, Bank, Discovery Center of Springfield, Branson Titanic Museum Attraction, Dunkin Donuts, Famous Dave’s BBQ, Cold Stone Creamery and Calvin’s Used Books. Her 4th graders were also big winners with surprise gifts from the program’s sponsors. On hand to celebrate at the Teacher of the Month party were Renea Daniels and Roger Frieze from Ozark Mountain Bank; First Class Maid Jamie and Kristina Hagey from the Branson Titanic Museum Attraction; Dave Jones and Wilbur representing Famous Dave’s BBQ, Hollister Administrators Pam Davis and Landon Gray; Mom, Stephanie Mundell and from Hometown Radio Joan Deberry and Janet Ellis.
