Search Warrant Served Today at Branson-Area Animal Attraction

Stone County Sheriff's Deputies served a search warrant this morning at a popular Branson-area attraction which has been in the news several times over the past few years for animal escapes and at least one incident of an employee being attacked by a tiger in the summer of 2008.

The Empire District Electric Company, with the cooperation of the Missouri Department of Conservation, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Southwest Power Administration, and others, is preparing to replace the flashboards at the Ozark Beach (Powersite) Dam. Flashboards are boards projecting above the crest of a dam to increase the water elevation or depth of the water.
